I'm really glad you posted this. What a beautiful story! (and some things you'll laugh at, too) Way to go you guys!
ReplyDeleteyay! Congrats!
ReplyDeleteLoved it, cried through the whole thing! The emotions you must've been feeling taking that taxi to the hospital, still can't believe that. And then his relieved you felt when Brandon came. I can't believe how some woman can do that without the support of a husband. Also, I can totally relate to the pure joy of having a baby. I am excited for when I have another because I didn't get to experience contractions or labor before. I love you and wish I was there!
ReplyDeleteRainy, I loved reading about what happened. I remember talking to you about having a baby in China and all the unknown factors and you did it! Wow, I'm so impressed that you got on the train and to the friends house and got the taxi to the hospital all by yourself and in another country and different language! I can relate to the pain of labor. My first was the most painful too. Same situation of really painful contractions but not progressing enough for an epidural. When I finally got to get the epidural I didn't have enough strength to lift the pen to sign for it so Cory had to sign my name but that epidural didn't wear off during delivery. That is crazy! My epidermal did wear off with George and it was painful but also really neat to feel the baby drop down and experience that but I bet you were exhausted! I can relate to that feeling of pure happiness when I held my babies for the first time too. You experience that with each one and it's so amazing to feel a new love you have never felt before when you have your first. I'm so happy for you and Brandon. Love you both! All three of you actually! ;)
ReplyDeleteRainy Dawn!!! This was such a beautiful post! I'm in Awh over your strength and capability!!! What an inspiration you are to me! My goodness I cannot wait to meet Oliver!! I am so proud of you!! I love you and Brandon and your new little man sooooo much!!!
ReplyDeleteI seriously just teared up reading this. What a beautiful post! Thank you for sharing! You are such an awesome mom already! I can't believe the courage it took to not only go through that whole process - but to do so IN CHINA.
ReplyDeleteRainy, you are awesome, and you definitely deserve all the blessings you have thus far...and more!
